Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

At Layer Eight Supply, we take privacy seriously—but that doesn’t mean the policy has to read like a 400-page RFC.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit layereightsupply.com, place an order, contact us, or otherwise interact with our store; why we need it; and what happens to it afterward.

The short version: we collect the information necessary to run the store, fulfill your orders, keep things working, and provide support. We’re interested in making good products, not unnecessarily collecting packets of personal information.

Information We Collect

When you place an order, contact us, or use certain features of the site, you may provide information such as:

  • Your name
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Order and purchase information
  • Account information, if you create an account
  • Messages or other information you send to us

Our website may also automatically collect some technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Pages viewed
  • Referring websites
  • Approximate location
  • Cookies and similar technology data

In IT terms, some logs are necessary to keep the system running. We try to keep the useful ones—not collect data just because we can.

Payment Information

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

Layer Eight Supply does not directly store your complete credit or debit card number.

Our payment providers collect and process the information needed to authorize and complete your transaction according to their own privacy and security practices.

That’s one database we’re perfectly happy not to maintain ourselves.

How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill your order
  • Process payments
  • Provide shipping and delivery updates
  • Communicate with you about your order
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Process refunds, replacements, or claims
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the website
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
  • Send marketing communications when you have chosen to receive them

In other words: your information gets used where it has a job to do.

Order Fulfillment

Layer Eight Supply uses third-party fulfillment providers, including Printful, to manufacture and ship products.

To get your order from our store to your door, we may need to provide our fulfillment and shipping partners with information such as:

  • Your name
  • Shipping address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number when required for delivery
  • Products and other order details

These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable law.

We follow the principle of least privilege here: the service gets the information reasonably necessary to do its part of the job.

Service Providers

Running an online store requires a few systems talking to each other.

We may use third-party providers for services including:

  • Website hosting
  • Ecommerce functionality
  • Payment processing
  • Product manufacturing and fulfillment
  • Shipping and delivery
  • Business email
  • Website security
  • Analytics
  • Fraud prevention
  • Accounting and other business operations

These providers may receive information reasonably necessary to perform those services.

We don’t hand out root access when a standard user account will do.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Like most modern websites, ours may use cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies may help us:

  • Keep the website functioning
  • Maintain your shopping cart
  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Understand how visitors use the site
  • Measure site performance
  • Detect fraud and malicious activity
  • Support advertising or marketing features when enabled

Some cookies are necessary for the store to function. Others may be optional.

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to you, you may be given controls for managing or rejecting certain non-essential cookies.

Sadly, these are the browser kind. No chocolate chips involved.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools to understand how people use our website and where we can improve it.

These services may collect information such as:

  • IP address
  • Device and browser type
  • Pages visited
  • Referring pages
  • General interactions with the site

If we introduce additional analytics or advertising technologies that materially change how your information is handled, we may update this policy accordingly.

We want enough telemetry to know when something is broken—not to build a conspiracy board about your browsing habits.

Email Communications

We may send transactional emails related to:

  • Orders
  • Payments
  • Shipping
  • Refunds
  • Account activity
  • Customer support requests

These messages are necessary to provide the service you requested.

If we offer promotional or marketing emails, you will be able to unsubscribe using the instructions provided in those messages.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending transactional emails about an order or account.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Complete and document transactions
  • Fulfill orders
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain appropriate business and financial records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Prevent fraud
  • Satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements

Different types of information may have different retention periods.

We don’t keep data forever just because storage is cheap.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

That may include appropriate access controls, secure services, encryption where applicable, updates, monitoring, and other security measures appropriate to the systems we use.

But anyone who works in IT knows the rule: no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information.

Those rights may include the ability to:

  • Request access to personal information we maintain about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of certain personal information
  • Ask how your information is used or disclosed
  • Opt out of certain marketing communications
  • Exercise other rights provided by applicable privacy laws

To make a privacy-related request, contact:

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. Consider it our version of authentication before granting access.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and products are not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

Once you leave our network—figuratively speaking—their privacy practices apply.

Layer Eight Supply is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Technology changes. Laws change. Websites change. Occasionally, even documentation gets updated.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, business practices, or legal obligations.

When we make changes, the updated policy will be posted here with a revised Last updated date.
